This week we got to know Beth Hazley, owner/chef of the catering company Two Chicks and a Pot.

provide wonderful all natural food for wedding and events
What do you find most enjoyable about your job?
I love to see the faces when they try the food
What brought you to your career?
I couldn’t understand the catering in this area not providing home made food
What’s one professional or personal development conference you would love to attend?
How do you stay current in your field?
Research regarding weddings and food trends
What do you find most challenging about your job?
Making everyone happy
How do you hope to impact your industry?
I want to be the caterer everyone wants at their parties.
What is your ideal impact on our community?
I want to teach everyone to cook from scratch with all natural and organic ingredients

Tell us about your family!
In my crazy home are two beagles and two grandsons. Joseph 12 lives with me all of the time and John lives with daughter and comes to visit as often as I can manage. My son Joe was killed in an accident and lives on in our memories.
What charity/charities do you support?
The Central Florida Sharing Center. I wish to work with the boys and girls club this year with cooking classes. More on that to come. Last summer we assembled chemo bags for the kids at Nemours and Arnold Palmer. We hope to do it again this year!
How do you celebrate your (or your family’s) birthdays?
Always Japaneese steak house for a habachi dinner. Usually a weekend at disney or sometimes another trip. Hoping for NC mountains this next summer.
What’s one thing you always have in your pocket or wallet? (besides keys and money!)
Credit Cards… lol. usually a shopping list.
What would you tell your 16 year old self?
You rock. Forget about boys and drive for success.
What woman inspires you the most?
Heike Waschull… a friend of our family, but i love her like family.
What’s your go-to accessory?
Haha… I am lucky to be dressed!
What’s the first thing you do after a long day at work?
swim

What’s your favorite book–or what are you currently reading?
Currently reading Boundaries
Where do you go to recharge?
the water.
