Shine Bright
This week, we’re sharing about Rachel Horan, an amazing mother, doula, chef, seamstress, and amazing friend.
We are also pleased to announce that Rachel is working with the Sunshine Baby Company as a labor doula!
Here’s what you need to know about this amazing woman and doula.
What is the name of your company? Orange Blossom Baby Company.
I would say that my desire to make others happy has always been a driving force in my life, but as I’ve matured and realized that I want to make a lasting impact on women and girls, especially, I’ve moved into the doula field. I love empowering women and supporting them in reaching their goals. Whether it be birthing goals, personal goals, emotional goals, or anything in between, I’m here for that journey.
One thing that I love about
Prodoula training is that it is always evolving and staying up to date. They, also, have a vibrant social network full of people who share and support and always bring the most diverse experiences to the table to truly expand my knowledge, which allows me to better serve my clients.
I am happily married to my husband, Ryan, and we have two precious children, a daughter, Mickey (5)and a son Hudson (2). We also have 2 dogs, Nutmeg and Poppy seed, and a cat, Taco.
I am an avid supporter of
CURE SMA. They do amazing work for families coping with a Spinal Muscular Atrophy diagnosis. It’s the number 1 genetic killer of babies and most people have no idea what it is.
My favorite birthday tradition is one that I started for my own kids. Each birthday, we have a special handmade crown made to match their birthday theme. Its hand felted and takes hours and hours of work and creativity. I love being able to look back at them and be brought back to those experiences with my family. Not to mention, they are absolutely stunning!
Don’t take on so much student debt!
I am an avid reader and love most anything, but, in particular, I adore
Outlander and I’m currently reading the Kingsbridge Trilogy by Ken Follett and it’s spectacular
